I kinda forgot all about livejournal. Then I remembered. :)

We are going to Texas on Thursday to prepare for the big upcoming happy times. We are looking at venues and doing some cake tasting and checking out some places for flowers.
Exciting.

We don't have a date yet because we are waiting for the venue. There are four different places we are seeing and well, we won't know their availabilities until we get there. And honestly, we don't really care about the date, but we are sorta shooting for Oct. 13th. But we'll see.

YAY MARRIAGE!

I have not made an entry since June. Why is this? I do not know. Maybe I'd just rather read about other people's lives. I haven't had a ton of shit going on. Plus, I only have like four livejournal friends. Maybe I figure it's not worth it. I don't know. I think I missed out on this whole livejournal thing. Like I started way too late. But that's okay. I don't need you internet!!!
Hahaha (nervous laughter). But I do need the internet. I'm not quite sure for what, but it is a huge part of my life now. I have no idea how people found out stuff before the internet. I mean, really!
Anyway, this is perhaps why I have not made an entry...I have nothing to say, obviously!

This is an email my mom sent me about the Mavs. She is crazy.


I am still extremely angry over the bad calls in that game. Have not smiled once today; yelled at the dogs and cats; yelled at a stupid driver who did not yield right of way off Alsbury. Stupid people. I don't care if the NBA has a beef with Cuban; they should not take it out on the players. Wade committed a back court violation, pushed Terry across the floor, and missed a basket BUT the referees bailed him out by calling a phantom foul. Oh, if somehow I could write David Stern to tell him what a sorry excuse for an organization he has, I would.



And she's not kidding at all.

All of a sudden Carla was bossing me around telling me that it's time to leave, but I wasn't ready yet. She wouldn't listen so we left. It was Jeremy, Carla, Tony, me and non-descript others. We all go to go to sleep (I don't know why) in this weird outdoor place. People were around not paying attention and stuff and Tony was all, "we can get in here while no one's looking" (meaning the bed) and started trying to make the moves on me. I said, "Tony, what are you doing?" and he said, "uh, something bad" and then put me wrapped in a comforter gently on the ground and tucked me in to let me sleep.
Next scene. We are going to some buddhist temple. I am about to walk through the gates to go in when someone is all "cover your tattoos, you will anger them". I blew that off.
I walked in and then a crazy lightning storm came down. These bolts of fire were hitting everywhere all around us and we had to dodge them. One came right at me. I looked up and it was a green shining light. It asked me a question (? have no clue) and I answered "Desdemona". It was the correct answer...I woke up saying to myself "I'm not ready to go yet. there are so many things I want to do". And then my alarm went off.

Last night I was chomping on an orange slice and bit down on something really hard and realized my crown had come off. I don't have insurance right now and so it sucks. It doesn't hurt or anything but there's this weird hole in my mouth now. Sucks. I will have to pay a lot to get it fixed, but at least I didn't swallow the crown! I'm still sad about it. Oh well, what can you do?

I had my last session with my trainer today because since I am not employed at the moment I cannot afford any more sessions. But he rechecked my body fat for me. When I first went in it was a whopping 27.6. (i misquoted the number in another entry, I thought it was 26.7, oops!) Really high. But today, just seven sessions and about six weeks later, it is 26.3. That is awesome. It seems to be coming off! Yay! I am excited even though I weighed the same. That's okay, I don't mind as long as I'm gaining some muscle.
Go me!

My trainer kicked my butt today. It was good though. It was such a beautiful day.
I walked over to Ft. Greene park and hung out with an iced coffee and watched some people play soccer. It was nice over there, my first time to that park and won't be my last.
It only like 10 blocks away. I had gone past there before but never into the park. I like it.

I really wanna buy clothes for some reason. Probably because I've been watching What Not To Wear a lot and it makes me want to shop!
I have to get this one pair of shoes and maybe a couple of shirts and I've really been wanting a nice black or dark brown pencil skirt.
Maybe that will help me get a job? Who knows.

I fucked up. I missed the comprehensive exams for this semester. They won't be offered again until the fall. Looks like I won't be finished with my degree until then.

I am sorta pissed at the advisor though because she didn't send out an email with the date of the test. I was under the impression it was April 27th. I guess I made that date up. I decided to email her and double check on the date and it was yesterday. YESTERDAY! How weird.

Anyway, whatever.
I will graduate someday.

Interesting. I weigh four pounds more than I thought I did. Not so bad. I can live with that. Also, i have 26.7% body fat. NOT okay with that. I am on the cusp of fair to poor level of body fat. Well, I guess it can only get better from here!

He's short and beefy, named Hunter, is from the Bronx and was in the military at some point. I am a little afraid. But that's okay.

Snake 'befriends' snack hamster

A rodent-eating snake and a hamster have developed an unusual bond at a zoo in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
Their relationship began in October last year, when zookeepers presented the hamster to the snake as a meal.

The rat snake, however, refused to eat the rodent. The two now share a cage, and the hamster sometimes falls asleep sitting on top of his natural foe.

"I have never seen anything like it," a zookeeper at the Mutsugoro Okoku zoo told the Associated Press News agency.

The hamster was initially offered to Aochan, the two-year-old rat snake, because it was refusing to eat frozen mice,.

As a joke, the zookeeper said they named the hamster Gohan - the Japanese word for meal.

"I don't think there's any danger. Aochan seems to enjoy Gohan's company very much," said zookeeper Kazuya Yamamoto.

The apparent friendship between the snake and hamster is one of many reported bonds spanning the divide between predator and prey.
